Square sets - 4 couples numbered 1 to 4
32 bar jigs - 8 times through
A) Number 1 man takes hands with ladies on each side (no. 1L and no. 4L) whilst man opposite (no. 3 man) takes hands with ladies on each side of him (no. 2L and no. 3L):
lines of 3 forward 2 steps then stamp*3,
back 2 steps then clap*3
lines of 3 dance forward & swap places diagonally across the set.
A) Side men (nos. 2 and 4) repeat whole of fwd, back and swap places holding hands with ladies on each side of them
(original square is now effectively rotated round half a circle)
B) Heartbreaker! No 1 couple now perform 'Heartbreaker' - into middle, turn away from each other and go out through nearest side couple, up round outside to far end of set, in through remaining couple and back to where they set off.
(if you were a spectator clinging to the roof watching the set below you, the heartbreaker would be the shape of a heart being broken in 2 - very poignant!)
B) All couples join hands, circle halfway round set (4 bars) and swing when they get back to where they started (4 bars)
repeat with each couple in turn doing heartbreaker
Alternate diagonal forward and back with top men then side men leading in turn
